Hepatitis B Treatment

Not all people infected with the hepatitis B virus need medication.1 Only your healthcare provider can decide that. Effective hepatitis B treatments are only available through your healthcare provider. You should never take any other products to treat hepatitis B, including herbs and vitamins, unless you talk to your healthcare provider, as some herbs and vitamins can cause liver damage.2

While there is no cure for chronic hepatitis B, there are medications to treat hepatitis B.3 There are two types of medications available as hepatitis B treatments: anti-virals and interferons.4
